Tubbataha trip day 5

Had one of the best dives in the trip. In our 2nd dive, we were able to see a school of juvenile reef sharks, pawikan and 2 stingrays. After the manta on the first dive day, this was the only time we saw rays again. The manta would definitely still be better but more or less it was still great. The school of sharks was definitely a frst for us. School of barracudas was as well cool. In anilao, we see one of whatever and we are happy.but here, they all can be seen in 1 dive. Nice! Coral reefs are healthy. Plenty of fishes. Excited to get signal and drop Pat a message. Hope everythings ok. Even with work.

Tubbataha trip day 4

Today, we had 5 day dives. definitely tiring. Still nice dives though as it seems that all our dives contained at least 1 pawikan and 1 shark. In anilao, you'll be lucky if you see one. The nice thing about this trip is being separated from the outside world and work. Its a rest from all the stress and totally not think about the stress if im having any issues or what. Unlike in HK i had wifi connection which led me to looking at issues and work. This time none of that. I would say that this is not the best it could be, probably because id rather go with the first group? Maybe because of the camera and the people and the things they've seen. I guess they have plenty of experienced divers who can simply identify rare species of fish. But always i have to think of the bright side, its still great diving and definitely a break from work. I super miss pat now though. I do feel like im missing something, maybe i just don't feel like starting conversations here or i don't kno

Tubbataha trip Day 3

Had a scheduled 4 day dive. 2 of our divegroup personnel woke up late and as result our dives all resorted to a later time. although I think it turned out to be in our advantage. We have a plentiful share of turtles. And by total our group has seen 6-8 turtles in these 2days. For the other group they've only seen 2 turtles overall. In terms of shark count maybe the same. I'd say the other group is more fun because of the people and they know each other very well. We have 2 foreign companions, 1 older german instructor who uses nitrox and dives in 100 and an american who dives in more shallow waters. Todays dives was more in calmer waters and no or less current at all so not much of an effort compared to yesterday. All dives contained plenty of sharks and beautiful topography and corals. I definitely enjoyed the visibility and the numerous schools of everything. This is the first times where in a single dive i see groups of fishes and "rare" fish/turtles in a dive. A

Tubbataha 2010 trip

Day 1 Flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa at 8am in the morning. had to be patient with the long line in the airport. The government or the owner should probably do something to improve it. 40 min flight and as soon as plane took off i was asleep. We were 'fetched' by the people of the fleet to bring us to the port where our boat lay. Had a quick briefing, signing of waivers and had lunch there. In the early afternoon we spent time buying grocery. Went back, slept, dinner then off we went to the sea. Definitely a horrible ride as it was sitting and sleeping on a super wavy ride;luckily didnt barf. Day 2 Had 5 dives. First time to have these muchdives in a day. Definitely tiring!! First 2 dives in Shark airport where i spotted a white tip shark and the mantaray. On our third dive, there were 2 pawikans and several sharks; in south park. Fourth dive, there was nothing to see. Last dive was night dive, nothing much special but a first for marco. Crabs and a few fish. HIghlight wa
