Warrior's Diet

and so I am torn on what diet I should be doing...Way back in college, the reason I lost a lot of weight around more than 10lbs was because I starved myself... Big time.. (Unhealthy, and not advisable), but worked! Well, walking was also part of the routine, instead of taking the jeep 4 rides to school, I take 3 jeeps, and walk one way. So that's equivalent to around 20-30 minutes walk everyday since i comute when going to school and going home from school. Then at dlsu, always was thrifty, budget was my lunch below P25 as much as possible because commuting reaches up to P25 one way (this by jeep and not mrt-lrt which would cost more). Yes, i was so thrifty that i didn't eat much, and walked a lot. Result: Success in terms of losing weight. Started really lifting weights around 3rd year college or 4th year. But didn't really have the "no-pain-no-gain" attitude yet during that time. So, worked out once a week, after each day, body didn't really hurt the next day, even had many times falling asleep in the gym upstairs. At home, lifted dumb bells and did 2 exercises only.  Effective? I think so. since i've been doing this for quite a while, I have developed some definition with my body.

Currently, i've been going to the gym from 2x to 3x a week. And that has been my aim, my blockmates says i've grown more definition and stuff, well i think so. And I believe it should, after all hard work. Remembered myself to be a fat/chubby little kid back then who didn't care much on physical appearance and cared about eatng and eating a lot. Result: Insecurity later on.  Positive effect of gym and workout for me: feel better + look better = less insecurities/more confidence.

Going to the gym at the start is quite hard for most. Why? You start from scratch, seeing no immediate results. And thus, day in day out, month passes, 2 month, 3 months passes, nothing seems to happen. Result: People give up and eat instead. I was lucky to start lifting weights at home and to be part of volleyball team. Volleyball team training has brought me to become really health conscious. When there was no volleyball training, my goal was to execute push ups everyday, well I did do that, and I didn't realize until late 4th year high school that i had developed "Pecs".  Didn't care much though on having definition or what, my main goal back then was just losing weight.  So, i believe that in order to achieve something like this, start small and slowly progress. (first, lose weight, second slowly build muscle, third go work hard for definition and mass) This is how i did it, but i think you can go for all 3 at the same time.  Have always though before that my dream is to get a 6-pack then i can die (was saying this back in HS, well, felt impossible, but where am i now, i have 2, need to get 4 more. hehehe)

I believe in the saying that in order to achieve something, you have to work hard. My main application for this would be what I know and what i am capable of. Definitely I owe a lot of my learnings to other people, but main of the work would still be me since I do the actual application and practice.

So back to the title. I'm finding a diet that would work for me, well building more muscle and burning less fat. I've seen one, but seems hard to follow. Hmm I guess, this will be my "homework/officework" for tomorrow. :P
